Really Now? How About Some Respect? I'll Settle For Sanity...

"What’s more shameless than the Associated Press defying the wishes of a dying soldier’s family and splashing his bloody body all over the wires?
Why, the Huffington Post reprinting a massively large version of the image on its front page with an accompanying blog commentary praising the AP photographer’s work as “tasteful” — along with thousands of comments praising the decision and calling for even more bloody US troop photos to be published."

Think that's bad?  How about this...

"And no, I’m not done with the AP yet. Blogger Ztower points out that the AP refused to reprint the Mohammed Cartoons because they were "offensive", but has no problem offending a dead soldier’s family for the Greater Journalistic Good of ginning up anti-war sentiment."

So let me get this straight, can't offend the people trying to kill us, but you can offend those trying to protect us, and their entire families?  Not to mention a strong majority of Americans.  Yeah, the media's real unbiased...  To be honest, I'm getting really tired of this claim that things are 'offensive.'  There's freedom of speech in this country, no matter how much certain groups may not like it.  Stop trying to use a back door method to limit our First Amendment rights.
